Traditional Sunday Roast Beef with all the Fixings

Sunday Roast has been a cherished tradition in the UK for centuries, dating back to the 15th century. Initially centered around a roast of meat, this ritual brought families together after church to share a hearty meal. 1. Roast Beef:
Ingredients:
- 1.5-2 kg beef roast (preferably sirloin or rib)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced

- 1 kg potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 50g butter
- 150ml milk
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:
- Boil the potatoes until tender, then mash with butter and warm milk until smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
4. Yorkshire Pudding:
Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 115g all-purpose flour
- 300ml milk
- Pinch of salt

Instructions:
- Whisk eggs, flour, milk, and salt together to form a smooth batter.
- Preheat a muffin tin with beef drippings or oil until smoking.
- Pour the batter into the tin and bake at 220°C (428°F) for 20-25 minutes until risen and golden.
5. Gravy:
Ingredients:
- Pan drippings from the roast
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 500ml beef stock
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Pour off excess fat from the roasting pan, leaving the drippings.
- Stir in flour over medium heat to make a roux.
- Gradually whisk in beef stock until smooth. Simmer until thickened, season with salt and pepper.
6. Vegetables:
- Steam or boil a mix of your favorite vegetables (carrots, peas, broccoli) until tender. Season with butter and a pinch of salt.
